On to the Borders!

One seam at a time, I am making progress on my green Ocean Waves. I think that it was 3 nights ago that I pinned the final 2 seams. Last night I got around to sewing those 2 seams. Setting the blocks together is my least favorite part of the process, so I am happy to have this part done! On to the borders. Maybe, just maybe I might cut out the 1st set of borders tonight. If I can do just 1 little thing at a time - well, it adds up over time! And right now, it is so hot that 1 little thing is all that I have the energy to do at days end! Posted by Picasa

The symmetry in your ocean waves quilt is beautiful. The setting of the blocks is paying off. I see lots of detail. I hope this quilt has a special purpose in mind.

This is very nice. I've always liked the ocean waves pattern but have no patience for making all those half square triangles. Maybe one day.

I love this quilt. I can't believe the work involved in all those seams! It must have been a quiet day outside because you were able to hang your quilt on the line to take its picture. I hope it wasn't too hot for you without any wind!

All those triangles. It looks great. Can't wait to see what you do with the borders.

The Ocean Waves is coming along so nicely Evelyn...*VBS* It's nice to see it come together like this. You are getting so much done in such a limited amount of time..wow!! Hugs, Finn

Borders would be my least favorite part--joining sections together just gets you that much closer to finished though it is so easy to have the weight of it pulling away from you.

Looking good! And look at all the seams you have already made!!

This is looking very pretty. It's an ambitious pattern for sure, but will be worth the effort.

Ohhh, I love all the greens! What color(s) are you going to border it in?

I don't like putting the blocks together either. It's at that point that the quilt starts to get harder to handle. It is looking great though!!
